Hanover College’s men’s soccer squad earned a 0-0 tie in two overtimes against No. 25 DePauw University. The match was played Wednesday, Sept. 12, in Greencastle, Ind.
DePauw, now 4-0-2 this season, outshot Hanover by a 26-4 margin and had a 10-2 cushion in shots on goal.
Sophomore goaltender Trevor Korfhagen (Cincinnati, Ohio) matched his career high with 10 saves to help keep the Tigers off the scoreboard.
DePauw outshot Hanover 5-0 in the final 10 minutes of regulation and also had a 5-0 edge in attempts through the two overtime periods. The Tigers had one shot hit the post with six minutes left in regulation and Korfhagen turned away one a shot in the final minute of the first extra session.
Sophomore forward Matt Flora (Scipio, Ind.) and freshman forward Vicente Munoz (Santiago, Chile) each had a shot on goal for the Panthers (1-2-2).
