Hanover College senior wide receiver Daniel Passafiume’s 89-yard kick return for a touchdown against Anderson University has been voted the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s football play of the week.
With the Panthers leading 33-0, Passafiume returned the opening kick of the second half 89 yards for a touchdown. He also caught seven passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns to help fuel Hanover's 54-14 victory against the Ravens.
Passafiume, from Louisville, Ky., also captured last week’s Heartland Conference play-of-the-week honor with a 25-yard touchdown run in overtime to key the Panthers' 33-27 win against the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Hanover, now 3-2 this season, returns to the gridiron, Saturday, Oct. 13, for a HCAC battle with Bluffton University (Ohio). The contest will start at 1:30 p.m. in Bluffton, Ohio.
