Hanover College senior forward Courtney Prater (Anderson, Ind.) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s player of the week for the third time this season.
Prater averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals to lead Hanover to a pair of Heartland Conference victories last week.
She posted game highs with 26 points and seven rebounds in the Panthers’ 84-76 win at the College of Mount St. Joseph (Ohio), Jan. 23.
She scored a game-best 23 points and had eight boards in a 68-65 triumph at Manchester University, Jan. 26.
She also had two assists and a pair of steals in each game as well.
This season, Prater leads Hanover in scoring and rebounding. She is averaging a career-high 17.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
Hanover has won five straight games and is 15-4 overall and is 9-3 in the Heartland Conference. The Panthers will continue HCAC play Wednesday, Jan. 30, at home against Franklin College. The tilt will start at 7:30 p.m. in Collier Arena.
