Hanover College sophomore Jordan Moseby (Indianapolis, Ind.) has been recognized as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s women’s track athlete of the week after setting two school records in the Hanover-Franklin Rivalry Meet.
Moseby established a school-record time of 15.36 seconds to win the 100-meter hurdles in the March 16 dual meet with Franklin College.
Her time improved upon Rachel Logar’s 2010 mark of 15.39 and currently ranks among the top 10 in the nation this season.
Moseby also helped set a Hanover record in the 4x100-meter relay.
Teaming with senior Khrystal Nugent (Lake Village, Ind.), senior Lexi Vincz (Greenfield, Ind.) and sophomore Briahna Chambers (Bell, Texas), the foursome captured first place in the one-lap relay in 50.51 seconds.
The quartet’s time shaved nearly one-half second off their own school record set in 2012.
Hanover’s men’s and women’s track & field teams return to action Friday, March 22, in the College of Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) Invitational. The meet is slated to begin at noon in Delhi, Ohio.
