Hanover College’s volleyball team evened its season record with a 3-0 victory against the College of Wooster (Ohio) in the squad’s opening match of the Purple Raider Classic in Alliance, Ohio.
Hanover, now 4-4, defeated the Scots 25-15, 25-17, 25-10.
Sophomore outside hitter Rachel Reganauer (Peewee Valley, Ky.) reached double digits for the fourth time this season and tallied 11 kills, while junior middle hitter Sarah Hasewinkle (Sheridan, Ind.) added nine, to pace the Panthers’ attack.
Sophomore setter Alli Deaton (Lexington, Ky.) posted a match-high 19 assists.
Sophomore return specialist Maddie Hartman (Madison, Ind.) led the defense with 15 digs, while sophomore middle hitter Maggie Huffer (Indianapolis, Ind.) had a solo block and two block assists on the front line.
Wooster slipped to 3-8 overall with the loss.
