Hanover College’s men’s soccer team dropped a non-conference match against Wabash College, 2-1, at the L.S. Ayres Athletic Complex.
Wabash (2-4-1) scored twice in a seven-minute span midway through the contest to build a 2-0 cushion.
Hanover sliced the margin in half in the 67th minute when sophomore forward Vicente Munoz (Santiago, Chile) laced a penalty kick into the lower right corner of the net.
The goal was the first of the season for Munoz and fourth in his career.
The Panthers (2-4) edged Wabash in shots, 9-7, but the Little Giants had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Junior goalie Trevor Korfhagen (Cincinnati, Ohio) had three saves.
