Hanover College’s women’s soccer team battled Thomas College (Ky.) through two overtimes to a scoreless draw at the L.S. Ayres Athletic Complex.
Thomas More, ranked No. 3 in the Great Lakes Region, earned an 18-6 advantage in shots and outfired Hanover 15-4 in regulation.
Junior goalkeeper Morgan Cole (Mason, Ohio) notched five saves for the Panthers (5-1-1), including four in the second period.
Though limited to six attempts at the net, Hanover had two shots in the second overtime period, including an effort in the opening two minutes by freshman midfielder Rebecca Tumlin (Harrison, Ohio) which sailed just right of the upper corner of the goal.
Thomas More (4-1-1) gained a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
