Senior return specialist Kylie Justus (Crawfordsville, Ind.) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball defensive player of the week.
Justus totaled 138 digs and five service aces as Hanover posted a 2-3 record last week, including four matches at the Ohio Athletic Conference-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Crossover, Sept. 21-22, in Columbus, Ohio.
A two-time HCAC defensive player of the year, Justus averaged 7.2 digs per set and surpassed 30 in two matches.
She racked up 32 digs in a four-set loss at Franklin College, Sept. 17. She totaled 33 digs in a four-set victory against Muskingum University (Ohio), Sept. 21.
Justus had three services aces in a four-set loss at Capital University (Ohio) Sept. 21.
Hanover, 6-9 this season, returns to the hardwood against Marian University, Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Collier Arena.
