Hanover College’s men’s golf team placed fifth at the Dick Park Invitational. The 36-hole tournament, hosted by Franklin College, was played Sept. 22-23 at the Legends of Indiana Golf Course in Franklin, Ind.
Hanover totaled 624 strokes (315-309) to finish in the middle of the nine-team field. The College of Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) earned the team crown with 601 (299-302). Millikin University (Ill.) was second with 608 (307-301).
Senior Robert Bader (Louisville, Ky.) turned in back-to-back rounds of 75 (150) to lead Hanover with a seventh-place finish among 79 golfers.
Junior Matt Ehman (Noblesville, Ind.), just one stroke behind, was 11th with a 151 (73-78). Junior Patric Geary (Clarksville, Ind.) finished 45th after a 166 (83-83) and freshman Ben Hamilton (Henderson, Ky.) was 52nd after turning in a 167 (91-76).
Freshman P.J. Greene (Mason, Ohio), playing as an individual, shared seventh place with Bader. Greene also posted a three-over 75 in each round (150).
Millikin’s Blaine Buente and Austin Havens each fired a two-over-par 146 through 36 holes to lead the field. Buente earned medalist honors with a victory in a one-hole playoff.
