The Hanover College women’s tennis team ran its record to 6-2 with a 7-2 victory against Kentucky Wesleyan College at the Zeddies Tennis Center.
Freshman Mackenzie Spicer (Indianapolis, Ind.) raised her record to 9-2 to lead the Panthers to wins in five of the six singles matches. Spicer defeated Kentucky Wesleyan’s Danielle Hadler, 6-2, 6-0.
Sophomore Allison Poston (Attica, Ind.), now 7-2 this season, earned a 6-0, 6-0 triumph against Emily McNeil at No. 4. Classmate Shelby Williamson (Ellettsville, Ind.) held off Samantha Brett, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 5.
Freshmen Kelly Gehlbach (Wilmington, Ohio) and Kirby Lantz (Greenville, Ohio) notched an 8-4 victory against McNeil and Haley Kauffman at No. 2 doubles.
Kentucky Wesleyan dipped to 0-2 with the setback.
