Senior Robert Bader (Louisville, Ky.) earned a third-place finish to lead Hanover College’s men’s golf squad to the championship at the Manchester University Fall Invitational. The 18-hole tourney was played at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind.
Hanover totaled 303 strokes to earn a two-shot victory against host Manchester (305). The University of Indianapolis, St. Francis, placed third (307) and Anderson University landed fourth (318).
Bader fired a two-over 73 on the 6,444-yard course to lead three Hanover athletes in the top 10.
Junior Matt Ehman (Noblesville, Ind.) posted a 76 and shared 10th place with freshman Johnny Vidal (Harrison, Ohio), who played as an individual.
Senior Brad Baumann (Floyds Knobs, Ind.) and freshman Ben Hamilton (Henderson, Ky.) rounded out the Panthers’ scoring. The duo tied for 13th place with 77s.
Freshman P.J. Greene (Mason, Ohio) was just one stroke behind with a 78 in 17th place.
Hunter Cloud, from Transylvania University (Ky.), captured medalist honors with an even-par 71. Manchester’s Dylan Crosby was second overall with a 72.
