Please help Hanover College’s football team and the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference support Samaritan’s Feet with a donation of shoes at the Panthers’ Nov. 1 home game against Earlham College.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new pair of children’s tennis shoes (any size) to the game and deposit in the Samaritan’s Feet collection boxes at Alumni Stadium.
The Hanover-Earlham game will kick off at 1:30 p.m.
Donations received at the stadium will provide shoes to impoverished children in the Indianapolis, Ind., area. The Heartland Conference plans to distribute the shoes in December, with members from each league team and coaching staff present.
Financial contributions may also be made at samaritansfeet.org. A donation of $15.24 covers the cost of a pair of children's shoes, shipping and distribution.
Samaritan's Feet has a goal to provide 10 million pairs of shoes to 10 million people in 10 years. The non-profit organization, founded in 2003, has helped four million people in 60 countries.
