Voice of the Panthers passes away

Longtime public address announcer Robert Hanley lost his battle with a lingering illness, Saturday, Oct. 12, in a Louisville, Ky., hospital. Robert, age 41, was the voice and personality of Hanover’s home football and basketball games for more than a decade.

A wake in his honor will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the A.D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home in downtown Louisville. Robert’s funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. in the Jeffersonville (Ind.) High School auditorium.
