Hanover College’s women’s golf team tied for second place at the Manchester University Spring Invitational. The 18-hole tournament was played at Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind.
Sophomore Brittany Gingerich (Millersburg, Ind.) and freshman Devan Smith (Depauw, Ind.) tied for third place to lead Hanover, which totaled 360 strokes to share second place in the four-team field with Franklin College.
Gingerich and Smith each posted an 85 on the par-72, 5,833-yard course to earn their first top-five finishes of the season.
Sophomores Brittany Mosteller (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Alli Lindenschmidt (Indianapolis, Ind.) tied for 16th place in the 29-golfer field with a 95. Junior Rachel Helt (Terre Haute, Ind.) completed the Panthers’ quintet with a 103 and a 23rd-place finish.
Trine University captured the team title with a 333. Trine's Julia DeBelly was medalist after firing an 80.
