Set foot on campus and you'll know this is a special place. We're located on 650 wooded acres high above the Ohio River. With approximately 1,000 students, that means there's lots of space to spread out.

Just about all of our students – and fully one third of our faculty – live on campus. Students live in residence halls, apartments, and independent or fraternity or sorority houses. Professors live with their families in neighborhoods around campus.

Off-campus, listen to music or sip coffee in downtown Madison, explore the numerous waterfalls and hiking trails at Clifty Falls State Park, bike down to the riverfront and watch the big paddle boats dock, enter the Madison Grand Prix Bicycle Race, check out the art and crafts at the Annual Madison Chautauqua, catch some Bluegrass down at the fairgrounds, or watch hydroplanes from around the world racing at over 200 mph in the annual Madison Regatta.

And when you're yearning for some big city lights, Louisville is just 45 minutes away. Or participate in one of our Omnibus events and you'll find yourself in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville, West Virginia, or Mammoth Cave and all points in-between.
