Area Attractions
When you first see our campus, you'll know this is a special place. With 650 wooded acres high above the Ohio River, that feeling stays with you. With approximately 1,000 students, there's plenty of space to spread out.
Just about all our students – and one-third of our faculty and staff – live on campus. Students make residence halls, apartments, fraternities or sororities their home away from home. Campus employees fill neighborhoods around campus and often welcome students to their homes. With student organizations, athletic competitions, intramurals, Greek events, and – of course – studying, there's always something to do. There's also plenty of time to hang out with friends.
Step off campus and listen to music or sip coffee in historic downtown Madison, explore the many waterfalls and hiking trails at Clifty Falls State Park, bike down to the riverfront and watch the paddle-wheelers chug by, check out art and crafts at the Annual Madison Chautauqua, or see hydroplanes from around the world racing at more than 200 mph in the annual Madison Regatta.
When you need some city lights, Louisville is just 45 minutes away. Join an Omnibus event and you'll find yourself in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, or West Virginia – and many points in-between.
