Exercise Science Placements
By teaching exercise science within the context of a liberal arts education, students who graduate from our program are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to continue on to a variety of careers and/or graduate school opportunities.
Most students use Hanover's unique exercise science program as an access point for the study of medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic, athletic training, cardiac rehabilitation, and sports medicine. Students can also prepare for health and fitness consulting by working through courses with the Center for Business Preparation. Those students who would like to pursue teacher certification in health and physical education (in elementary or secondary school) are best served by the new Health and Movement Studies major which is a new interdisciplinary major combining exercise science, health and fitness and psychology and a health and which would be completed in conjunction with teacher certification courses.
