Professor Stark is a specialist in acting and stage combat. He also teaches courses in film studies, staging methods, and contemporary theatre. A member of Actors Equity, Professor Stark is an actor with years of experience in professional theatre.

A distinguished scholar, Dr. Fearnow is the author of numerous articles and books. He teaches theatre history and theory course, playwriting and introductory courses.

He was the Founding Artistic Director of ShenanArts a theatre company in Staunton , VA, where he was the creative leader from 1981-1999. He has also served as a speech consultant, guest director, and adjunct instructor.
