Walk-in hours: 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Tutoring services also available by appointment

The Learning Center is located on the second floor of the Campus Center.

Mission Statement
The Learning Center can help you increase your academic success across the Hanover Campus by providing you with a wide range of services. Available to students, faculty, and staff, these include student peer tutoring at the center, in the classroom, in residence halls, and on-line services that provide advice, exercises and scholarship wherever the World Wide Web can reach.

Services

At the Center
The Learning Center offers free, walk-in tutoring to all Hanover students. Its trained peer tutors also establish semester- and year-long mentoring relationships with undergraduates who want more intensive assistance. Tutors can offer you help on both writing and speaking assignments. They provide you with advice on brainstorming, organizing and focusing topics, developing research skills, honing finished projects, and improving grammar, word useage and oral presentation skills.

Around Campus
Peer tutors are available to visit you at your residence hall and in the classroom to help you with particular writing and speaking skills or to lead critiques of particular assignments. You can also access a variety of learning resources on the center's web site: learningcenter.hanover.edu

Become a Student Tutor
The Learning Center employs 30-35 tutors each year. Tutors come from all different majors, but should be good students and have the ability to work well with others.
