Art Scholarships
Studio Art scholarships are available for participation in one studio art course and one community art service project a year.
Eligibility
Scholarships awarded to selected studio art majors and non majors are renewed based on accomplishment in the studio art program as determined by the studio art faculty.
Portfolio Reviews
The application for admission serves as the application for studio art scholarships. Interviews take place during the annual Studio Art Scholarship Portfolio Review Days on the Hanover College campus, planned and coordinated each year by the Studio Art Department.
Stipends
All Studio Art scholarship awards range from $500 to $3,500 and are renewable each year at the discretion of the studio art faculty based on accomplishment and end-of-year evaluation.
Portfolio Requirements
Candidates must bring with them to the Review Session a recommendation letter from their art instructor and a portfolio of original works of art. Portfolio Reviews are held at the Lynn Center for Fine Arts at Hanover College. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their creative works in the context of interdisciplinary influences.
2009/2010 Portfolio Review Dates
November 20th and 21st, February 5th and 6th and March 19th and 20th.
