Cricket Club
The cricket club was started in 2003 by a group of Pakistani and Nepali students, with the aim to bring diversity to the sporting culture at Hanover. The club currently boasts of members from countries such as Pakistan, India, Nepal, and Ghana. Activities of the club include introducing and teaching the game of cricket to the student body. The club also attends tournaments and arranges games in the efforts to constantly encourage more students to play, while also highlighting similarities and differences with its American counterpart: Baseball. The club offers an opportunity for students to escape the world of academics for a second, and zone into an extracurricular activity which they may not be common in American culture.
The club currently has three officers who also serve as captains of the team. These officers are in charge of running the affairs of the club, convening meetings, organizing elections, and planning programs.
