
Hanover College’s women’s golf team is tied for first place after the first round of the Hanover Invitational. The opening day of action in the 36-hole tournament was played Saturday, Sept. 8, at Sunrise Falls Golf Course in Madison, Ind.
Senior Rebecca Roberts (Avon, Ind.) and sophomore Brooke McKay (Carmel, Ind.) each fired a six-over-par 78 to tie for second place in the 63-golfer field.
Junior Sloane Hamilton (Mason, Ohio) posted an 84 and freshman Brittany Mosteller (Indianapolis, Ind.) added a 91 to round out the Panthers’ scoring.
Hanover totaled 331 strokes and shares the team lead with Indiana Tech. Marian University is third after shooting a 333.
Indiana Tech’s Megan Garrison is the leader in the clubhouse after an even-par 72 in the first round.
