
Hanover College’s women’s tennis team lost to Transylvania University (Ky.), 6-3, in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference clash, Wednesday, Sept. 12, in Lexington, Ky.
In singles action, freshman Allison Poston (Attica, Ind.) raised her record to 5-1 this season with a 6-1, 6-3, win against Transylvania’s Taylor McCreary at No. 6.
Sophomore Kelsey Jones (Hanover, Ind.) handled Megan Dixon, 7-6 (5), 6-0, at No. 4.
Hanover notched a victory in one of the three doubles matches.
Junior Amanda Learned (Noblesville, Ind.) and sophomore Kalynne Miller (Greenwood, Ind.) combined to earn an 8-2 triumph against the Pioneers’ Nika Larian and Caroline Tapscott at No. 3.
Hanover is now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference. Transylvania improved to 2-0 overall and in the league.
