Volleyball caps weekend sweep in Louisville

Hanover College’s volleyball team capped a trio of weekend victories with a sweep of two non-conference outings, Saturday, Oct. 20, in Louisville, Ky.

Freshman middle hitter Nicole Hoene (Seymour, Ind.) sparked Hanover with 13 kills and junior defensive specialist Kylie Justus (Crawfordsville, Ind.) collected 22 digs to lead the Panthers to a 25-12, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 15-11, victory against Webster University (Mo.) in the opener.

The five-set match was Hanover's ninth this season.

Freshman outside hitter Rachel Regenauer (Louisville, Ky.) totaled 13 kills and Justus had 18 digs to lead Hanover to a 25-21, 25-23, 25-21, victory against host Spalding University (Ky.) in the day’s second match.

The Panthers had seven service aces in the victory against Spalding, which was the squad's third win in a row and fourth in its last five outings.

Hanover is now 16-13 overall this season.
