Hanover College senior Daniel Passafiume (Louisville, Ky.) has become the Panthers’ career leader in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns with his effort against Manchester University, Nov. 3.
Passafiume caught nine passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns for Hanover in a 35-34 loss at Manchester. The production boosts his career totals to a school-record 3,396 yards and 37 touchdowns.
The yardage surpasses the 3,332 yards amassed by former Hanover all-American receivers Brian Glesing (1989-92) and Mike Luker (1985-88).
Passafiume’s two touchdowns against the Spartans mark his 21st collegiate game with a receiving touchdown. The pair of scores lifts his career total to 37, which eclipses the mark Glesing set during his four seasons with the Panthers (36).
This season, Passafiume - who is also Hanover's career receptions leader with 337 - leads Hanover’s receiving corps with 83 catches for 826 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Heading into the Nov. 10 Victory Bell clash at Franklin College, the Panthers are 6-3 overall and 6-1 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
