Netters even in HCAC after loss at Franklin

Hanover College’s men’s tennis team slipped to 4-4 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 7-2 loss at Franklin College. The match was held Sunday, April 14, in Franklin, Ind.

Hanover, now 4-12 overall, earned wins in two singles matches.

Senior Devon Sharpe (Indianapolis, Ind.) outlasted Franklin’s Jared Hunt, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, at No. 5. Sophomore Brian Clark (New Palestine, Ind.) held off the Grizzlies’ Ryan Hammer, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, at No. 2.

With the win, Franklin raised its mark to 9-6 overall and 6-2 in the Heartland Conference.
