Junior Logan Wells (Scottsburg, Ind.) ran a season-best time to pace the Hanover College men’s cross country team to their best finish in close to a decade in the Little State division of the Indiana Intercollegiate meet. The Panthers finished 10th in the 19-team meet held at the Indiana University cross country course in Bloomington, Ind.
Wells ran a season-best 27:41.81 on the challenging eight-kilometer course to finish 31st in the Little State division. Freshman Jake Hally (Indianapolis, Ind.) ran a personal-best time of 28:38.81 to finish 48th, while sophomore Ben Franke (Seymour, Ind.) finished four spots behind Hally running 28:42.59.
Sophomore Drew Elston (Carmel, Ind.) made several moves late in the race to finish 65th in a time of 29:07.36. Senior Jason Holcomb (Sellersburg, Ind.) completed the Panther scoring running 29:54.30 to finish 81st.
Wabash College scored 42 points to win the Little State portion of the meet, while Indiana University won the Big State division.
Alex Cushman, a University of Indianapolis athlete, took top honors in the Little State division, running 25:18.96.
