Junior forward Tricia Walsh (Amelia, Ohio) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s women’s soccer player of the week.
Walsh came off the bench to score one goal and rack up a career-high three assists to lead Hanover to a 9-0 victory against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Sept. 28. The nine goals mark the highest offensive output for the Panthers since the 2000 campaign.
Walsh and freshman forward Anna Cornacchione (Cincinnati, Ohio) share the team lead with seven points this season. Walsh has two goals, including one against Wittenberg University (Ohio), Sept. 7, and three assists.
Hanover, 7-1-1 overall this season, is currently ranked third in the Great Lakes Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The Panthers open Heartland Conference action Saturday, Oct. 5, on the road against Manchester University.
