The Hanover College women’s tennis team remained perfect in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, defeating the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 5-4, in Indianapolis, Ind.
Hanover, which has won four of its last five outings, improved to 8-3 overall and 5-0 in HCAC play with the win.
Senior Danielle Miller (Fairway, Kansas) led the Panthers, defeating Rose-Hulman's Marie Stettle 6-4, 6-4 in singles play and pairing with freshman Mackenzie Spicer (Indianapolis, Ind.) to top Stetler and Suzana Mohd, 8-4, at No. 1 doubles.
Sophomore Kelsey Jones (Hanover, Ind.) defeated the Engineers' Kylie McCollum 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles, while sophomore Allison Poston (Attica, Ind.) claimed two victories defeating Lauren Miller at No. 6 singles and teaming with freshman Mallory Knoble (Fishers, Ind.) to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-3.
With the victory, the Panthers share the conference lead with Transylvania University (Ky.).
Rose-Hulman slips to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in the league.
