Hanover College’s volleyball team lost in three sets to Transylvania University (Ky.) in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference battle in Lexington, Ky.
Hanover fell to the Pioneers, 25-20, 25-17, 25-22 to slip to 9-12 overall and 1-1 in the league.
Sophomore outside hitter Rachel Hasewinkel (Sheridan, Ind.) totaled 12 kills and eight digs, while sophomore setter Alli Deaton (Lexington, Ky.) had 16 assists, to lead the Panthers’ attack.
Senior return specialist Kylie Justus (Crawfordsville, Ind.) tallied a team-high 14 digs. Sophomore back-row mate Maddie Hartman (Madison, Ind.) added 12 digs.
With the win, Transylvania raised its record to 15-8 overall and 4-0 in the Heartland Conference.
