All five scorers turned in season–bests times and junior Logan Wells (Scottsburg, Ind.) placed 46th (26:34.01) joining four other teammates in running season-best times as the Hanover College men’s cross country team placed 16th in the 36-team #JennaStrong Fall Classic. The Panthers were the eighth NCAA Division III team in a meet that included teams from the Division I, II and NAIA divisions.
Sophomore Ben Franke (Seymour, Ind.) placed 111, covering the eight-kilometer course in a career-best 27:18.6, while freshman Jake Hally (Indianapolis, Ind.) finished just behind him in 27:29.93.
Sophomore Drew Elston (Carmel, Ind.) and senior Brendan Kelly (Indianapolis, Ind.) completed the Panther scoring with Elston running 27:43.12 and Kelly 27:46.43.
The Panthers scored 483 and enjoyed a 1:12 gap in scoring runners, the best performance from the team this season.
Mount Union University (Ohio) won the meet with 102 points.
The University of Indianapolis junior Alex Cushman won the meet, running 24:58.69.
