Senior placekicker Dylan Dunlop (Miami, Fla.) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s special teams player of the week for his production in Hanover College’s 24-21 win against Manchester University, Nov. 9.
Dunlop kicked a 21-yard field goal and nailed three extra points in the Panthers’ come-from-behind victory, and in the process, set Hanover’s career kick-scoring record. The six points raised his career total to 167, surpassing the 166 points tallied by former standout Dan Farrington from 1991-94
Hanover, riding a five-game winning streak, is 5-4 overall and 5-2 in the Heartland Conference. The Panthers close the 2013 season Saturday, Nov. 16, with the annual battle for the Victory Bell against Franklin College. The game will start at 1:30 p.m. at L.S. Ayres Field.
