Wells, Kelly lead Panthers at NCAA Regional

Junior Logan Wells placed 66th as the Hanover College men’s cross country team finished 22nd in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional. His 26:38.0 effort helped the Panthers to their best recent finish in the 35-team field. The meet was held at on the campus of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Senior Brendan Kelly (Indianapolis, Ind.) continued his strong late-season running, turning in a lifetime best of 27:10.5 in his last collegiate race.

Sophomore Ben Franke (Seymour, Ind.) ran 27:41.1 to place 140th, while freshman Jake Hally (Indianapolis, Ind.) placed 161st running 28:10.2.

Senior Jason Holcomb (Sellersburg, Ind.) completed the Panthers' scoring with a 28:40.3 effort.

Sophomore Drew Elston (Carmel, Ind. ) and junior Richie Sellers (Noblesville, Ind.) also competed for Hanover, running 29:06.3 and 29:2.2, respectively.

Wabash College won the meet with 60 points.

Albion College (Mich.) senior Paul Lewis won the meet, covering the eight-kilometer course in 25:10.0.
