Junior Austin Duncan (Pekin, Ind.) turned in a personal-best weight toss for the third straight meet and claimed third place overall to lead the Hanover College men’s track & field team at the DePauw University Indoor Invitational.
Duncan’s 14.73-meter effort ranks third in school history.
Freshman Torrey Gardiner (Lafayette, La.) placed eighth in the 60-meter dash, running 8.23 seconds.
Junior Richie Sellers (Noblesville, Ind.) also claimed an eighth-place in the 800-meter run with a 2:02.18 effort.
Classmate Logan Wells (Scottsburg, Ind.) ran the mile in 4:37.47, marking the fourth-best time in Hanover history.
The 4x200-meter relay team of Anthony Pizzo (Bloomington, Ind.), Jack Schoening (Noblesville, Ind.), Enrico Franchini (Sao Paolo, Brazil), and Joe Feldmann (Oregonia, Ohio) finished third overall. Their 1:35.37 effort is third all-time at Hanover.
Friday evening, Feldmann competed in the 400-meter run at the Hoosier Hills Invitational held at Indiana University. The sophomore finished 12th overall with a 51.24 run.
Classmate Nick Jaeger (Terre Haute, Ind.) finished second in the high jump with a 1.93-meter jump.
The Panthers finished ninth in the 15 team meet with 25 points. The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won the meet with 165.5 points.
