Junior Frannie Larson (Goshen, Ky.) broke her own school record in the high jump and the team collected seven first place wins as the Hanover College women’s track & field team opened the outdoor season at the second-annual coed HC-FC Rivalry relay meet held at Franklin College.
Larson leapt 1.65 meters to win the event and best her previous mark of 1.62 meters set in 2013.
The 4 x 100-meter relay team of Jordan Moseby (Indianapolis, Ind.), Tricia Walsh (Amelia, Ohio), Erika Jervis (Sheridan, Ind.) and Briahna Chambers (Bell, Tex.) began the meet by winning with a 51.51 effort.
Moseby, Walsh, and Chambers joined freshman Brittany Ferrell (Hillsboro, Ohio) to capture the 800-Sprint-Medley relay title, running 1:57.14.
Moseby also won the 100-meter hurdles race, running 16.72, while Chambers leapt 5.27 meters to win the long jump.
Freshman Megan Richey (Marshall, Ill.) won the hammer throw with a 31.26-meter toss and placed second in both the discus throw (27.37-meters) and shot put (8.36-meters).
Senior Janet Schnurr won the javelin toss with a 27.60-meter throw.
