Sophomore Nick Jaeger (Terre Haute, Ind.) leapt a season-best 1.98 meters to win high jump as the Hanover College men’s track & field team placed sixth at the Indiana Division III Championships in Greencastle, Ind.
Classmate Joe Feldmann (Oregonia, Ohio) ran 50.10 seconds to place second in the 400-meter dash.
Feldmann also anchored the third-place 4x100-meter relay team of Anthony Pizzo (Bloomington, Ind.), Enrico Franchini (Sao Paolo, Brazil), and Tyler Arceneaux (Akron, Ind.). Their 43.45-second time is the third-best in Hanover history.
Pizzo lead off the second-place 4x400-meter relay team with Feldmann, again, anchoring. Sophomore Jack Schoening (Noblesville, Ind.) and senior Brendan Kelly (Indianapolis, Ind.) completed the squad.
Arceneaux placed seventh in the 100-meter dash, running a wind-aided 11.16 seconds for the fifth-best time in Hanover history.
Franchini placed eighth in the 100-meter dash, running 11.17 seconds.
Senior Al Moreland (Lawton, Mich.) moved into fourth all-time at Hanover in the hammer throw, placing fifth in the meet with a 44.90-meter toss.
Moreland followed this with a season-best 44.71-meter toss in the javelin to place fourth.
Hanover scored 44 points, while team champion Wabash College totaled 281.
