Errors hurt Panthers in one-run loss
Hanover College's softball squad limited Concordia University (Minn.) to just two hits, but eight fielding errors doomed the Panthers in a 4-3 loss, Wednesday, Feb. 25, in Clermont, Fla. The contest was played as part of the NTC Challenge.

Hanover led 3-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. After a lead-off walk, the Panthers committed two errors to push the game-tying run across the plate and a runner to third. The next batter lofted a sacrifice fly to right field to score Concordia's winning run.

Junior Emily Merrill (Milton, Ky.) pitched the first four innings and allowed just two hits with three strikeouts. Sophomore Chelsea Hanner (Bloomingdale, Ind.) worked three innings of no-hit relief, but suffered the loss after Concordia scored the two seventh-inning runs.
