Just having a college education is generally not enough to get you the job you want. Employers look for individuals who have participated in campus and community organizations, and maybe even assumed leadership posts. There are numerous opportunities at Hanover College for you to do exactly that — and have fun at the same time. With a campus full of organizations that address every type of interest, your biggest challenge will be deciding which groups to join or how many.
All of the student-run and nearby community organizations focus on providing you with the necessary experience you need to further your career goals and give you an edge in the job market. When you consult with your faculty and Career Connections advisors, you can rely on their sound guidance to direct you towards the most appropriate organizations to augment the value of your college degree while allowing you a sense of playful indulgence.

Unlike large universities, Hanover's small student population will permit you many opportunities to:
- Assume leadership roles as early as your first year and in more than one organization if you choose;
- Easily network with members of other groups to organize campus or community events;
- Establish a new group that is customized to your particular interests with guidance from staff;
- Capitalize on close relationships afforded by the small ratio student-faculty ratio to comfortably involve faculty and staff and enlist their assistance.
