Governance Organizations
Interfraternal Council (IFC)
The purpose of the organizations shall be as follows:
• To further the interests of member chapters,
• To form a closer union between the Greek fraternal organizations,
• To form a closer union with the Hanover College administration,
• To promote those goals common to the Greek fraternities at Hanover College.
Panhellenic Council
The object of the Panhellenic Council shall be to develop and maintain fraternity life and interfraternity relations at a high level of accomplishment and in doing so to:
• Consider the goals and ideals of member groups as continually applicable to campus and personal life.
• Promote superior scholarship as basic to intellectual achievement.
• Cooperate with member fraternities and the college administration in concern for and maintenance of high social and moral standards.
• Act in accordance with National Panhellenic Conference UNANIMOUS AGREEMENTS and policies.
Residence Hall Councils
The purpose of the Residence Hall Council is to:
• Engender a deeper appreciation and respect for fellow members of our community.
• Promote personal pride and responsibility for living in a Residence Hall.
• Encourage intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social development.
Student Senate
The purpose of the Student Senate is to continually increase the value of student life, to strengthen the unity of purpose among Students, Faculty, and Administration in working toward a common goal, and to promote the general welfare of all students of this college without discrimination.
