Recreational Organizations
Cricket Club
The purpose of the Hanover Cricket Club is to provide an extracurricular activity for people of all races, gender and ages. The Hanover Cricket Club will add to the diversity of the campus and spread the values of sportsmanship on campus.
Ballroom Dance Association
Students are introduced to the art of ballroom dance. In relation to the college, the Hanover Ballroom Dance Association plans to hold a formal ballroom dance to demonstrate their skills to the larger Hanover Community and teach other students what they have learned.
Hanover College Ultimate Frisbee
The purpose of the HCUF is to provide the college's wide and growing base of Ultimate Frisbee players to participate in state and national games and tournaments. While playing within the bounds of intramural and pick-up games is offered to Hanover students now, the opportunity to become part of the UPA and a nationally recognized team will allow these student-athletes to interact with students from other colleges and communities. It will also allow the HCUF athletes to become one of the leading small, private schools to host a UPA team. Hanover College will receive national recognition for its involvement in the sport, and the HCUF will offer a new opportunity for recruitment and exposure to students and parents from other communities.
Martial Arts Club
The purpose of this club shall be to:
• Foster a wide student interest and participation in the club by providing instruction and leadership
• Assist students in developing mental, physical, and spiritual well being as well as basic self-defense skills.
Table Top Club
The Purpose of the organization shall be three fold.
• Provide the tools (ranging from board games for public use to terrain and tools for other types of gaming)for students on the campus to game as they see fit
• Provide a network for students to find gaming groups or opponents so that they can game appropriately as they see fit.
• Provide locations for gaming and host special events as entertainment to the campus and for the members of the club.
