College House is a highly sought-after residence for women on campus. One of the few air-conditioned places, it is single sex and can accommodate twenty women. Most rooms are double rooms, but there are a few single rooms and two triples. Each room has telephone, cable television, and Ethernet hookups. The rooms have the following furniture for each resident: desk, chair, dresser, bed, and built-in closet. If the room is designated a triple, it will have three sets of furniture; double, two sets; and single, one set. There is one common bathroom for the building, along with a common lounge, small kitchen, and laundry facilities.
There is one Resident Assistant that lives and works in College House. She is responsible for nurturing and maintaining the development of a tight and respectful community in the house. Each resident plays a big part in this development, but the RA plays a critical role in the planning of events, orchestrating and running of house meetings, listening to and referring residents for additional assistance, and enforcing all College policies. The RA for College House is supervised by the Assistant Director/Area Coordinator that lives in Ide Hall.
College house is now being used as the temporary house for the Sigma Chi's while they rebuild the chapter and doing work in their chapter house.
Limited parking is available on the street adjacent to the building and easily accessible to the J. Graham Brown Campus Center, Classic Hall, and Long Administration buildings.
