Other athletes in your family: Three of my cousins are on the swim teams at SIU, Carthage, and Rose-Hulman.
Road trip stories: This past year, a few friends of mine and I decided to travel to Indianapolis to a giant garage sale that my parents were working at. It was one in the morning when we decided to travel on this adventure and left about an hour later. Needless to say, we ate a large bag of chex mix and we rode the struggle bus the next day.
Favorite class and why: I really really liked my freshman Great Works class during the second semester. I took "Beauty in Art and Literature" and we learned about the different beasts throughout history, like the werewolf, the moors, the vampires, etc. It was awesome to see where the stories ended and the myths today began.
Special sports accomplishments: -Varsity letters in both soccer and track and field -Academic excellence in both soccer and track and field -Mental attitude award for both soccer and track and field -Record breaking 4 X 1 relay at a whopping 52.19 seconds. For the win, Junior High.
What do you like to do outside of your sport: I LOVE to spend time with my family, dogs and cats included. I also enjoy spending time with friends, both at school and at home. I like anything to do with the outdoors; camping, biking, hiking, etc. I like to draw, listen to music, and read tons of books. I am a HUGE movie buff (Goonies is my favorite).
