Road trip stories: I'd have to say most of my road trip stories were from my sophomore and junior year of high school. XC camp, dual meet against Perry Meridian, and messing with our teammates at Fazolis just to name a few.
Person who pushes you or makes you better: I'd have to say my longtime running partner Clayton Bowie. He pushed me to my limits on almost every workout. After the 2013 high school track season, he showed me how hard I needed to work to achieve the highest amount of success. Unfortunately, I couldn't compete at his level during our last season together, but I doubt I would be running in college if he hadn't trained with me.
Who is your role model: My "senior" from high school: Tim Mosier. Moe helped me make a smooth transition from middle school to high school. He introduced me to other students and teachers. But most of all, he showed me how to have God, happiness, and joy in my life every day.
Must-hear song before competing: I have a tradition of listening to three songs about 10min before we get off the bus. I listen to the inspirational speech from "We are Marshall", "Cinderella Man" by Eminem, and "I gotta feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas.
Other athletes in your family: My dad has "competed" in the Indianapolis mini marathon for many years. I also have two cousins who ran for DePauw and Dartmouth University.
