As the oldest private college in Indiana, Hanover takes pride in its history and traditions, as well as its commitment to equipping students for 21st century careers. With that goal in mind, we are continually monitoring our campus technology needs and making the enhancements necessary to remain current in an every-changing technological environment.
Increasing demand from faculty and students for more classroom technology has informed and inspired the Parents’ Classroom Technology Campaign. The generosity of current and past parents will allow classroom technology enhancements in 28 classrooms, including learning space in the Center for Fine Arts, Classic Hall, the Faculty Office Building, Horner Center, Science Center and Science Hall. These enhancements include portable technology centers that will each include a computer, Blu-ray and 50-inch HDTVs. These enhancements will affect each of the 1,125 students currently enrolled at Hanover, as well as the 300 faculty and staff members who use the space for teaching, learning and meeting.
Thanks to a generous leadership gift of $7,500 and initial gifts and pledges from many other current parents, we have already secured 35% of the goal and students are already benefiting from new classroom technology.
