Bio:
Hometown: Bedford, Ind.
High school: Bedford North Lawrence '02
Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Hanover College '06

My family moved from Racine, Wisc. when I was a kid and I spent my years growing up in Bedford, Ind. In my junior year of high school, my mom's employer (who sent a son to Hanover) suggested that I visit the campus and within moments I knew my college search was over. I found it ironic that I wasn't considering a small private liberal arts college and Hanover was the hidden gem that I didn't realize existed. After four years at Hanover and 20 years in southern Indiana, I graduated and moved to Long Island, N.Y., to experience a new area with new people. When my brother graduated from Hanover in May 2008, I accepted my current position as an admission counselor at Hanover.

Frequent questions:
What makes Hanover special?

In my opinion it is the people at Hanover that makes the college special. Every morning, students, faculty and staff bring their knowledge, goals and experiences to share with others. We are able to learn from each others' passions and furthermore, who they are. For being a small campus, we are made up of different nationalities, religious affiliations, political standpoints and cultural exposures. The sense of community at Hanover College is unique. Hanover students care for the well-being of not only themselves but for everyone around them. The faculty and staff are supportive and rally for your success during the four-years spent at Hanover and beyond.

Why is Hanover a good choice?

In a nutshell, it's a healthy, safe and wonderful place to live, grow and learn for four years. A piece of me will always be at Hanover and selfishly, I have taken more than my fair share from Hanover with me!

Hobbies and interest: I most enjoy being outside, taking pictures, taking a last-minute road trips, reading (I welcome recommendations,) and I am a big movie buff. I love finding quotations to which I can relate to people or events that have happened in my life. I have an wonderful, loving family and an amazing arrangement of friends. Most of all, I love being around good people for good conversation and good humor.
