The Hanover Parents' Association promotes communication among parents, students, administrators, faculty and alumni; to support and assist in campus events and projects designed to improve the quality of the college experience; and to partner with the College in recruitment of prospective students and fund-raising efforts.
The Parents' Board of Directors continues to provide meaningful service to the college that positively impacts current students, parents, and assists in admission efforts. The three main committees of the Board in 2012-2013 Academic Year are: Student Services, Communication, and Parents' Fund.
The Hanover College Parents' Association Board of Directors has 100% giving participation to the Hanover Fund. Parents’ gifts (unless otherwise specified,) are designated to benefit The Learning Center at Hanover College, which is available free of charge to all students. (Did you know that one-third of the entire student body uses The Learning Center during their time at Hanover for things like free private tutoring and effective study techniques?) If you have questions, or need assistance, you can email Betsie Chilton, in the Office of Parent Relations, at chilton@hanover.edu and she will be glad to help you.

By Denise Witmer, About.com Guide
Your child may have grown up and gone to college, but you'll still be parenting. Here are some books that will help you through their college years.
1. Don't Tell Me What to Do, Just Send Money
2. Letting Go: A Parents' Guide to Understanding the College Years
3. When Your Kid Goes to College; A Parent's Survival Guide
4. You're On Your Own (But I'm Here if You Need Me)
The Hanover College Parents’ Association sponsors three kinds of awards for current students each year. Scholarship Leadership Awards and Scholar Athlete Awards are recognition awards that are given in late spring. The Parents’ Association Endowed Fund for Spring Term Study provides monetary grants based on proposals submitted by upperclassmen students.
To support its efforts, the Parents’ Association offers Cat’s Meow replicas and college throws for sale through the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations. ‘Cat’s Meow’ replicas are miniature wooden replicas that feature a campus landmark with a brief description on the back of each piece. The throws are available in navy or cranberry, and feature buildings found on Hanover’s campus. All proceeds benefit Hanover students through the Parents’ Association Endowed Fund for Spring Term Study.
The Parents’ Association is proud to encourage students and help them further explore their intellect. To view Hanover’s Cat’s Meow replicas, and to read more about how the proceeds are being used by students, please go to Hanover’s web site at: http://www.hanover.edu/parents/parentsassociation/merchandise.
Thank you for your support!
