Hanover College is reliant on the talents, resources, and knowledge of its parents. Ways you can volunteer include:
Refer a prospective student who you know will do well at Hanover.
Attend Hanover events in your area and on campus as often as you can! Hanover has a lot going on throughout the year on campus, from theater productions, to a host of athletic events.
As a parent you can make a statement about loyalty just as a large percentage of our alumni do each year by giving to the Hanover Fund. Giving demonstrates confidence in Hanover, no matter what size the gift. Hanover is deeply grateful for this extra investment and the level of commitment that it demonstrates. Thank you for participating in this long-standing tradition. For more information regarding giving, go to http://www.hanover.edu/giving.
Parents provide valuable resources for Hanover students who are interested in experiencing the work world in their desired career field. Hanover prides itself on the network of alumni, parents and friends who are critical in helping our students find employment and internships. For more information regarding help in this area, please contact Margaret Krantz, Career Center Director, in the Hanover Career Center at 812-866-7127.
Visit your high school's guidance counselor to tell them about the great things going on at Hanover College. For a packet of information, email admission@hanover.eduor call 812-866-7021 or 1-800-213-2178.
Children, grandchildren and siblings of alumni may qualify for up to $2,000 in Legacy Scholarships per year. To let us know about YOUR legacy child of any age, please visit: Refer a Student.
Indiana parents can show their son's and daughter's alma mater pride (along with alumni) everywhere they go by ordering an Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Hanover College license plate and support study abroad for current students at the same time. For info visit License Plate Program.
Show Hanover spirit everywhere you go by wearing Hanover College gear such as hats and shirts. Decorate your work and home environments with campus wooden replicas and HC throws (available through the Parents Association) if you live in the State of Indiana, by purchasing a Hanover College License Plate through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (www.hanover.edu/plate) . If you are not in Indiana, you can display a Hanover College license plate holder available for sale in the Hanover College Bookstore.
Read @Hanover, HC's e-newsletter, the Hanoverian, and check out this website for current information about programs, events, and latest happenings at Hanover. Keep in Touch.
This endowment, established by the Parents' Association, supports Hanover sophomores, juniors or seniors who are looking for funds to help finance a spring-term project or activity that goes 'above and beyond' the scope of any normal coursework. Students have the opportunity to submit a proposal to apply for funding provided through the Parents' Association Spring Term Experience Endowment. You can support this worthwhile program by purchasing Hanover College Cat's Meow replicas (wooden replicas of campus buildings and landmarks) and HC throws. For more information about the replicas or to download an order form, go to: www.hanover.edu/parents/parentsassociation/merchandise.
