Parents' Handbook
Welcome to the Hanover College family! We hope you find this booklet, provided to you by the Hanover College Parents' Association, to be a ready source of information about the College and its surrounding community.
The Parents' Association began as an organization founded by the fathers of football players in the late 1940s. Originally intended to raise money for the football team for expenses beyond the College budget, the organization's role expanded through the years to include a communication function with the full parent body as well as the traditional fundraising activities. The use of funds raised was expanded beyond the athletic department into academic and campus life programs. Today, a Parents' Association Endowed Scholarship exists for the benefit of many.
Becoming involved is a great way to become acquainted with other parents, stay connected to your student and have some fun too. We look forward to working with you make Hanover the best it can be. If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact the Office of Alumni & Parent Relations at 800-213-2179 ext. 7059 for more information, or send an email to parents@hanover.edu and we will be glad to have someone give you a call, or mail additional information. Please fill out the page in the parent handbook and send it in today. Your participation is valuable to Hanover and it is very much appreciated.
We hope that this booklet will be helpful in answering some questions along the way as your son or daughter begins an exciting journey into the world of higher education.
