Stanton’s online effort translated to a best-selling book, “Humans of New York,” in 2013. Just two years later, he also reached the top of the New York Times best-sellers’ list with “Humans of New York Stories,” which delved deeper into the lives of Big Apple residents.

A two-time Grammy Award winner, Common earned his first Grammy in 2003 with “Love of My Life,” a rhythm and blues duet with Erykah Badu. He also received the Grammy in 2007 for best rap performance by a duo or group with "Southside," featuring Kanye West.
In addition to his acting role in “Glory,” Common has also appeared in such films as "Girls Trip," "John Wick: Chapter 2," “Suicide Squad," "Now You See Me," “Terminator Salvation,” “Date Night,” “Happy Feet Two” and “New Year's Eve." He also narrated “Bouncing Cats,” an award-winning documentary about the use of dance to empower youth Uganda.
