Lambert's narration to highlight family-oriented holiday concert

The Madison Community Concert Band will present a special holiday concert Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Fitzgibbon Recital Hall, Lynn Center for Fine Arts. The concert, suitable for all ages, is free and open to the public.

Musical selections will include traditional and light Christmas classics. One highlight of the evening will be the performance of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” The work, arranged by Jack Bullock, will be narrated by Hanover President Lake Lambert.

The non-profit community band, conducted by Mark Johnson, includes approximately 40 area musicians of various ages and musical backgrounds. The ensemble features David Mruzek, Hanover’s associate professor of music and director of instrumental programs, along with College alumni Scott Davis (baritone saxophone) and Charlie Schnabel (trombone).

A special holiday reception will follow the performance.
