"Had I come straight to Hanover from Brooklyn, it would have been a very different transition. But I came from living in a pretty remote location and working at a big university in North Dakota. It’s been a big transition. I’ve grown a lot as a teacher over the past year, being in a smaller classroom really challenges you to think in a different way about how you teach. I’m more accustomed to the lecture format, so learning how to lead effective discussions and pair that with material that is good for discussion, has been a bit of a learning curve for me. I love to experiment in the classroom, because I get to learn just as much as my students."
